Emp. entered north area of tripper against instructions. Supervisor energized tripper, and tripper struck emp., knocking emp. out of tripper area onto catwalk grating. Coworker hit emergency stop cord, stopping tripper. Emp. reported incident to medical, did not complain of any symptoms for 5 days, then on 6th day, ER visit confirmed 3 compressed fractures to thoracic area.
