CREW WAS PULLING A 13/4" DRAG CABLE OUT OF A DRAG DRUM WITH A PICK UP TRUCK. SMITH WAS STANDING ON THE GROUND OFF THE DRAGLINE ABOUT 5\-10\ TO THE SIDE OF THE CABLE EXIT POINT. AS THE CABLE WA S PULLED OUT, ONE OF THE LOOSE STANDS OF THE 6X19 STRAND CABLE CAUGHT ON THE HOUSING EDGE AND SNAPPED OFF. IT STRUCK SMITH & STRUCK IN THE FLESH OF HIS LEG.
