EMPLOYEE WAS DRIVING CAT 777 DOWN #2 INCLINE. A LARGE ROCK(3'X3'X2.5' WAS IN ROAD ALONG SIDE OF SPOIL. EMPLOYEE STATED HE DID NOT SEE ROCK IN TIME TO AVOID HITTING IT. EMPLOYEE'S TRUCK STRADDL ED ROCK WITH FRONT TIRES BUT RAN OVER IT WITH REDUALS CAUSING TRUCK TO LEAVE GROUND AND WHEN RETURNING CAUSED JOLT TO OPERATOR.
