EE was looking for a gas cap from a CAT 769C haul truck that had fallen off. He was standing on the engine compartment next to the operator's cab. He stepped down to look, lost his footing, stumbled backwards and then fell off the truck, approximately 10 feet to the ground. He landed on his neck/back. He worked for about 3 hours after.
