WORKERS HAD JUST MADE A LIFT (BLAST). AFTER SANDING WORK AREA, HE WAS DISCUSSING WITH FELLOW WORKERS WHERE TO ATTACH SAFETY HARNESSES AND INSTALL FENCING TO MAKE AREA SAFE. HE VOLUNTEERED TO G ET HARNESSES. AS HE TURNED, HIS FOOT SLIPPED. HIS ATTEMPT TO REGAIN BALANCE TOOK HIM OVER THE EDGEE. HE FELL APPROX. 8' HITTING LEFT FOOT ON SMALL BOULDER DISLOCATING A BONE IN FOOT.

EMPLOYEE ALLEGES HE TRIPPED ON A PIECE OF WOOD, FELL FORWARD AND CAUGHT HIMSELF WITH RIGHT HAND. SORENESS PERSISTED UNTIL PRESENT IN RIGHT WRIST. BEING THIS LONG, THOUGHT IS SHOULD BE CHECKED. 1ST WENT TO DOCTOR ON 3/10/89.

EMPLOYEE WAS ST5NDING ON A STONE WHICH HE HAD PREVIOUSLY TRIED TO DISLODGE WITH A BAR. STONE SUDDENLY DISLODGED ITSELF AND ROLLED AWAY. EMPLOYEE FELL OFF AND STRUCK STONE NEXTY TO THE ONE HE H AD BEEN STANDIN1 ON, HITTING HIS CHEST AND BREAKING FIVE RIBS ON HIS RIGHT SIDE.
