While performing morning routine housekeeping, employee went to exit the catwalk going down steps, EE slips on the first step. Employee was holding onto the handrail and hit knee on the steps.

An employee fell approximately 8'6" off of a concrete landing, striking the ground. The employee was transported by EMS to the hospital. EE injuries include a left wrist fracture and a fractured pelvis. Notification was made to the call center when the accident occurred.
A cow was loose in the pit and several mine employees were trying to herd the animal out of the road. EE aproached the cow to move it and the cow ran at him. When EE ran out of the way he twisted his ankle.
