TWO GEOLOGISTS 4ERE CLIMBING LADDERS INTO OLD STOPE TO SAMPLE. THE UPPER LADDER BROKE AND SLID DOWN THE STOPE KNOCKING THE MAN ON THE LOWER LADDER DOWN ONTO DRIFT FLOOR WITH FALL ESTIMATED AT 8-10 FEET. MAN 2N UPPER LADDER NOT INJURED DUE TO SLOW RATE OF SESCENT. LOWER MAN SPRAINED ANKLE WHEN LANDING ON DRIFT FLOOR.
