INJURED WAS WORKING AS LEADMAN ON THE GREY CEMENT VESSEL. AT AROUND 9:00 P.M. HE NEEDED TO SURVEY THE HOLDS. AS HE WAS STEPPING DOWN ONTO THE DECK OF THE SHIP FROM THE GANGWAY HE STEPPED ON A U-BOLT THAT WAS WELDED ON THE DECK OF THE SHIP, RESULTING IN INJURED LOSING HIS BALANCE, USING HIS HANDS TO BREAK HIS FALL THUS SPRAINING HIS LEFT HAND.
