EMPLOYEE WAS PERFORMING HIS PRE-SHIFT EQUIPMENT CHECK ON THE HITACHI 550 EXCAVATOR. WHILE WALKING ON THE CATWALK, HE SLIPPED AND HIS FOOT LODGEDIN THE HAND HOLDER. HE LOST HIS BALANCE AND FELL BACKWARDS ONTO THE TRACK, BREAKING HIS RIGHT LEGIN TWO (2) PLACES.
