Employee was coming down ladder from loader & as he approached the last step, he noticed a 2'square slab of rock on the ground & decided to use that rock as another step from the loader ladder. As he put his foot on the rock, the rock surface was slippery due to mud/clay & his foot slipped off. He caught himself from falling, but therefore strained his lower back.
