EMPLOYEE WAS PRYING ON CURTAIN BOLTS ON CRUSHER #1 WHEN CURTAINS RELEASED. BAR WAS CAUGHT BETWEEN WASHERS AND THE END OF BAR THAT HE WAS HOLDING WAS THROWN UPWARDS CATCHING HIS FACE AND CHEEK BONE. RESULT WAS STITCHES IN FACE.

Accident happened when operator exited excavator, took 2 steps on the ground and twisted ankle on a rock. He then went to get it checked that night. dr at emergency room told him it was just sprained. His personal dr later found that it was broken, and had prior problems with same ankle.
