Employee was assisting a plant mechanic in replacing a tail pulley and bearing assembly on a mill feed conveyor belt. As the two employees were setting the assembly in place on the conveyor frame, one end of the assembly slipped and fell onto the victims middle finger on his right hand.

Showing all 5Employee had finished his shift & was ready to leave site from parking lot. He remembers leaving his overshirt in work area & went back to get it. It had rained much of the day & the area he was walking through was wet. He slipped in a wet spot, caught himself with his left arm/hand/wrist. The result was he broke the tip of a bone in his wrist.
Maintenance Mechanic was working in the Sand drying/screening plant. The mechanic was removing a bearing from a magnetic seperator. While attempting to remove the bearing, by tapping with a hammer, a sliver of metal flew into the his left eye. The employee was treated and released from the local ER and returned to work that afternoon.
Operator came up behind Supervisor who was cutting super sacks with a utility knife. Startled Supervisor, swung around and cut Operator on the buttocks.
Maintenance employee had been using a 4.5-inch hand grinder for 30 minutes on a bull gear in the shop when a metallic sliver ricocheted inside the face shield, around his safety glasses and imbedded in his left eye. The sliver was removed by an optometrist and the employee returned to work during the same shift without restriction.
