Showing all 5A trash dumpster fire occured between 1:25 - 1:35 p.m. that burned/smoldered for longer than 30 minutes. The fire was controled using the mine water trucks and equipment, the fire department was called in as it continued to smolder. Damage to the dumpster was minimal. The fire was reported to the district and the 800 number
Miner demonstrated a possible recordable shift in his left ear above his initial baseline.
On 5/20/09 employee complained of tearing and discomfort in left eye, upon observation a foreign particle was observed in his eye and he was transported to a physician for medical treatment. The employee stated that he was not aware of an incident that could have caused it but thought that it might have occurred when cutting and threading pipe the day before.
Employee was pressure washing the plates on a filter press and attempted to twist the nozzle on the end of the sprayer to adjust the spray pattern. While twisting the nozzle, his little finger slipped off of the end of the spray gun into the high pressure spray. This resulted in a small laceration to the employees right little finger
