Showing all 3Employee was welding on a grizzly and took EE's lunch break. EE believes when EE took EE's welding hood and glasses off to wipe EE's forehead EE may have pushed a foreign body into EE's eye. It did not bother EE until late afternoon. On Saturday EE went in and had it removed and was provided an ointment to prevent infection.
Employee was swinging a sledge hammer to free a steel component. As the hammer made the upswing it hit a piece of steel causing the hammer to deflect as it traveled back to the ground. The employee was struck by the handle of the sledge hammer in his shin. The result was a bruise that became infected over the weekend.
