Showing all 3Miner was assisting mechanic in the changing out of an excavator bucket. Miner tried to catch bucket pin as it was hammered out, the pin slipped in miner's hands and caught middle finger of left hand under pin. Miner was not wearing required PPE of work gloves and should not have been attempting to catch the pin.
Employee discovered tick on thigh, was concerned about Lymes disease. Was seen by doctor and treated with antibiotics.
