At the rip-rap hopper for crusher, Plant 1, a piece of rip-rap holding open tailgate of small dump open. When dislodged with the log tool, the stone unexpectedly bounced out of hopper, towards miners foot. EE jumped and steadied self with hand against truck bed just before the tailgate closed on that hand.

Showing all 2Injured was training a newly hired miner; twice that day he had cautioned never to climb live equipment. Injured then climbed side of conveyor, perhaps to "show off" the wrong way or to view crusher (not a miner task). Heavy coveralls caught under right arm shaft of conveyor pulley. Clothing squeezed, bruised and tore skin on arm. Upper arm broken with simple fracture.
