The miner lifted a piece of floor grating, tilting it to the side against tunnel wall and then shoveled material that was being accumulated underneath. The miner turned around briefly when the unsecured grating slid and impacted EE's left hand/wrist.
Miner was adjusting a hose when EE suddenly suffered acute pain in EE's knee. The incident was due poor posture. The working conditions were safe and adequate. The miner suffered a fracture in EE's meniscus. The miner suffered no impact, nor did EE slip before the incident.
EE works for Securitas Security Services of PR, a company contracted to provide security services. EE claims that EE fell from a four-track in front of the entrance to the shop. This fall caused EE injuries to EE's head, back and legs.
