Showing all 6Operator of WA500 loader ran over a rock that was under water. The operator was jolted. Rock size approximately 12" or under.
Employee knelt down on catwalk to remove debris. Knee popped causing severe pain and immediate swelling.
Clearly this is a non-chargeable accident-injury. I received first notice of injury 8-11-05. Employee did say on 6-15-05 he felt a pulled muscle. No work loss at time. On 8-5-05 thought he should have it checked out. Currently at work, no further attention required at this time.
CLEARLY THIS IS A NON-CHARGABLE INJURY, WE RECENTLY CHANGED INSURANCE CARRIERS & NOW HAVE NO CHIROPRACTIC CARE. EMPLOYEE HAS SEEN CHIROPRACTOR FOR SEVERAL YEARS WHEN WE HAD COVERAGE. EE ONLY MISSED A FEW HOURS & IS NOW CURRENTLY WORKING & OPERATING LOADER.
TWO LOADER OPERATORS GOING INTO SURGE PILE ARTICULATED INCORRECTLY, CENTER WEIGHTS HIT APPROX SPEED 2 MILES PER HOUR. OPERATOR SEAT BELTED WITH CLEAR WINDSHIELD. EE WORKED THRU SHIFT AND REPOR TED TO WORK FOLLOWING DAY.
