Miner fell from rock, while splitting a part of the rock that the miner had a foot on was unsupported and fell away. The miner fell approx. 5' onto back. The miner ended with fractured L2, Fractured rib, and a laceration to the right arm.

Saw 3 was moved, the ground was wet. No Ice was visible but it is possible after the running water was moved. EE was walking around the end of the track and lost footing twisting an ankle. There was gravel/sand down and salt available in the area if needed. Neither EE nor the witness could say if there was ice or not. A picture was taken after EE was taken care of.
