EE's lower arm became lodged in the top idler of the line conveyor. A co-worker witnessed EE kick off boot and shut off the conveyor. Co-worker immediately initiated an e-stop and called another person to assist. They lifted the conveyor belt to extricate EE's arm. First Aid Triage was performed on site and then transported to the hospital.

THE EE WAS DOING MAINTENANCE WORK ON THE EXCAVATOR ENGINE. THE HOOD WAS OPEN ABOVE THE EE. AS ANOTHER VEHICLE DROVE BY, THE VIBRATION CAUSED THE HOOD TO DROP ONTO THE EE'S FINGER.
