While hoisting a final drive gear box from a pickup truck utilizing an "autocrane" on mechanic's truck, the gear box pivoted and crushed the victim's rt index finger against the bed rail of the pickup truck.
THE INJURED PERSON FRO FOX TOWING WAS STRUCK BY WHINCH ROPE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO RECOVER A 980G FRONT END LOADER WHICH HAD BECOME STUCK. WHILE WINCHING, THE WIRE WINCH ROPE BROKE AND RECOILED BACK AND STRUCK INJURED.
EE STATED THAT WHILE SETTING A NEW BEARING HOUSING ASSEMBLY INTO PLACE ON THE CONCRETE SAND SCREW, THE HOUSING SLIPPED/FELL 3-4 INCHES CRUSHING FINGER BETWEEN HOUSING AND ANGLE IRON FRAMEWORK ON REAR OF CONCRETE SAND SCREW RESULTING IN A LACERATION. EE WAS WEARING LEATHER WORK GLOVES AT TIME OF INCIDENT.
