Employee was removing snow from tail pulley of non-moving conveyor. Upon completion he dragged his hand across telescoping take up receiving cut near his thumb. He then reported the injury. After discussion we decided that another employee should accompany him to the hospital to have it looked at. He received 7 stitches and was released to return to work the next day.
