EE was changing oil for 14G blade (unit 304002). As he reached in to change the filter, his arm was fully extended. When he pulled on the filter wrench, he felt a pull in his upper right arm, the muscle had been pulled. The poor design of this area of the blade is considered to be a major factor in this injury. It is very difficult to change oil filters on this equipment.
Employee was opening a top rail car hatch and felt a sharp pain in his back. Employee was seen by a doctor and placed on modified duty.
