EE was checking the fluid level in the generator batteries. One of them exploded, spraying a small amount of battery acid and pieces of broken plastic into the EE's face. EE experienced some burning in his eyes and on his face. His eyes and face were rinsed out using a bottle of eye wash solution and then he was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
