Fall onto or against objects

While walking around a block and saw ee slipped on a small rock. While trying to catch self EE's wrist got caught on the block and EE's wrist was lacerated.

Struck by flying object

the clamps on a 2"" air line failed and the whip check did not properly arrest the hose and it struck a miner in the left ankle causing a broken leg.

While attaching an air line for a Drill the miner was tightening up the 2.5"" line when they tapped the ears on the fitting with a small hammer the miner did not notice that the valve was cracked and the valve separated and struck the miner in the face neck and chest.

Employee was pulling on a diamond wire to free it after it had become frozen over night. During the process felt pain in lower abdomen. Visit to Doctor confirmed that it was a hernia.

As employee was removing plug wedges from stone, the stone opened up and the employee struck his forearm on the edge of the stone, causing a laceration which required sutures to close.

Injured was holding a wrench on a bolt, when another employee tried to loosen a nut with an impact wrench. The bolt spun causing the wrench to move striking his thumb against the drill, causing a crushing injury. Sutures needed to close wound.
