Employee was guiding a cutting edge that was being moved with a magnet when the magnet unexpectedly released the cutting edge and caught his left thumb. This caused a laceration that required stitches.

Struck by flying object

DRIVING A TRACK PIN INTO THE MINER WITH A SLEDGE HAMMER, A CHIP FLEW OFF STRIKING HIS RIGHT LEG. HE HAS NOT MISSED ANY WORK BUT HAD TO HAVE STITCHES.
