Over-exertion (Not Elsewhere Classified)

Miner was going down onto the beach and slipped on the steps and twisted his ankle.

Fall onto or against objects

Miner was trying to get onto the railcar to apply the brake and slammed his knee into the car.

Contact with hot objects or substances

Miner allowed a sand line to become clogged. In the course of unblocking it the water close to the pump became heated and when the blockage broke loose the hot water shot out on him.

Struck by flying object

Miner was grinding on steel and a tiny piece of the metal bounced behind his safety glasses and hit his eye.
