Struck by falling object

The injured was in the process of removing a rail car from the 8 Right track onto the 3 East Main Line. EE was attempting to align the draw head on the car, when the rail gate slipped loose & fell catching the EE's rt hand between the gate & the draw head, causing a laceration to the palm of EE's right hand and bruise on top of EE's hand. The laceration required 10 stitches.

Struck against stationary object

Injured worker's right thigh made contact with pour chute, this resulted in stitches to the right thigh.

EE was cutting a section of fabric to protect mine phone. As EE proceeded, the knife penetrated the fabric, cutting through EE's glove, resulting in a cut that required sutures.

EE received impact to right eye/face when the sledgehammer EE was using to open an access door glanced off, striking EE. On 1/12/2016, individual underwent surgical procedure on right eye.
