Miner was struck by 13 wide x 53 long x 3/16 thick steel access plate as he exited area below Mesabi vibrating screen. MRI showed normal and unremarkable. Diagnosis: neck pain similar to whiplash. Second opinion: cervical strain (sore neck).

Struck against stationary object

Employee was climbing the access ladder to a 980H loader and struck knee on bottom of the next step up causing a contusion

Employee was attempting to remove a piece of damaged conveyor belt lacing with a utility knife and cut his left index finger
