Employee was tending the miner cable and as the miner was backing up, he bent over to grab the cable to move it, when the face expelled a lump of coal that struck his thumb on the left hand resulting in an open fracture of the left thumb. 6 sutures were required to close the wound.

Employee was advancing a shield at mid face when there was an outburst of coal from the face area and the employee was struck in the left elbow and left shoulder by coal which was expelled from the face. 2 stitches were required to close the laceration on the left elbow.

Employee was changing a damaged hose on shield #61 on the idle face when there was a bounce/outburst and the employee was hit in the back by a piece of coal that was expelled from the face.Emplyoee sustained 1 broken rib and 3 cracked ribs on the left side of his rib cage.

Employee was standing along side of a shuttle car looking into the cable reel compartment of the car when the rib sloughed off and the employee was hit in the back of the right knee by a piece of coal.

The employee was operating the right side drill head of the Fletcher roof bolter in the rock room of 15th East when the pillar yielded and the employee was struck in the mouth with a small piece of coal, resulting in a small cut to his upper lip, which required 3 stitches.

The injured employee was assisting another employee to hang a 5 hp flight face pump from the roof screens along the rib line in preparation for mining in the face. As the pump was hung from the edge of the screen, the screen sagged down away from the rib and a piece of coal sloughed off from the top of the rib and struck him in the right ankle.

As EE was shoveling the mine floor between the RA and the stopping, a piece of coal fell from the rib and struck him on the left shoulder.l

EE was standing on shield #128 when a bounce occurred on the face and the concussion of the bounce threw the EE into the legs of the shield and onto the toes of the shields.

EE was constructing a squeeze stopping using wooden crib blocks. As he reached down to pick up another crib block a lump of coal sloughed off of the rib and smashed his hand bewteen the crib block and the lump of coal.

Employee was trying to install a DA shear pin back into the DA advancing bar on the longwall shield. While trying to install the pin a face bounce occurred and threw the bar up into the cable tray with his finger in the middle.

EE was standing in the panline on the longwall face at shield #123 insalling the shear cable into the brettbe when a bounce occurred throwing the employee's leg into the spill tray. EE was seen in the ER and released to return to work. His knee continued to bother him for months after and he had his knee scoped on 1/3/2007.

Employee was in the pan line putting the shear cable back into the brettbe. A face bounce occurred and a chunk of coal came away from the face area and pinned his leg to the sigma section of the panline breaking his leg.
