Showing all 4Man was roof bolting, piece of top fell while he was drilling. Put his left hand up to protect himself and was struck on left hand and side of his face. Received abrasion to face and laceration to left hand. 2 stitches on hand.
Employee set lunch on skid on ground, raised up and bumped into roof bolt. Loose debris and one 6" flat coal piece rolled down back.
While in the process of roof bolting, a piece of clod fell from the roof. As the miner was moving out of the way of the falling clod it struck him on the left elbow (posterior). His elbow was swollen and cut in two small places.
