EE was installing ground support in a raise when a piece of loose fell from the footwall striking EE's right foot above his metatarsal, causing a laceration that resulted in nine sutures. EE received full release.
EE was installing ground support with jackleg drill, while drilling a hole, a baseball sized rock fell through the existing wire striking EE in face near corner of right eye resulting in a laceration that needed 5 sutures.
While installing ground support employee was holding a sheet of screen while his partner was inserting a rock bolt, at that time a rock fell from the back knocking employee down breaking the bone in his right heel.
Employee was installing rock bolts thru the wire mesh in the 1690 heading. A small rock fell thru the 4" opening in the wire and struck him on the left outer forearm, resulting in approximately a 1 1/2" cut that required 3 staples to close. He was treated by the EMT on duty and released to return to work.
Employee was in the process of loading a face round with 3 other miners. While he was bent over loading one of the knee holes, a rock weighing appox. 50 lb fell out of the face striking his hard hat and left shoulder. The rock fell from a height of about 10 feet.
