Showing all 3The employee was helping to change out a belt on the overhead conveyor. As EE was holding the shaft, it slipped out of EE's hand pinching the right hand between the frame and the shaft. The 4th finger on EE's right hand was smashed and had a laceration from the impact.
Miner was attempting to clear a jam on the conveyor belt. Miner performed LOTO on the equipment and attempted to adjust the belt by grabbing with hands. During the belt adjustment, the miner heard and felt a pop in the middle finger on right hand. Possible strain or misalignment to the finger. Miner has not missed any work due to this injury.
