Showing all 37Employee was assisting in making repairs to the continuous miner when the rub rail struck him on foot. He consulted a doctor and was told he has a fractured foot.
EE stated that he was changing conveyor belt structure out when he felt pain in his lower back. Ee went to the E.R.Dr where it was determined that he had suffered a lower back strain.
EE was taking the rubrail off the continuous miner when it fell on his right middle finger. He consulted the ER Dr at the hospital who determined that his finger was broken. He did not lose any time with this injury.
EE stated that he was walking and pulling miner cable when he struck him right ear on a strap. He went to the harh hospital where he received 2 stitches to the head and ear.
EE stated that he was pulling a service hose from the reel of the service truck when he felt pain in his lower back. EE went home and consulted a Dr. who odered x-rays which were nega- tive. The Dr ordered an MRI and EE is currently losing time.
Employee was working on a hose clamp when it broke and cut his hand. He was transported to the hospital and received three stitches to his hand. He returned to work and has not lost any time.
EE stated that he was rolling a piece of rock off the water line when he felt pain in his right shoulder and neck.
EE stated that he was putting oil in the shuttle car when the hadle broke on the can of hydraulic oil. The can struck his left hand and cut it requiring 5 stitches.
EE was shoveling coal onto the tailpiece when he felt pain in his lower back. EE continued to work the rest of the shift and consulted a dr after he got off work. He was x rayed and determined to have a muscle strain.
EE stated that he was changing a hydraulic hose on a d9 dozer when he raised up and struck his head on the dozer. He had removal his hand but the pillow access into the area of the dozer. He recieved 3 stitches to his head
Employee was bending a roof bolt as he was roof-bolting and pulled a muscle in his right shoulder. He consulted a doctor where he was diagnosed with a pulled muscle. He was off work on the 29th & 30th and returned 5/2/05.
EMPLOYEE WAS LIFTING A WET BRAKE OUT OF THE RAIL RUNNER WHEN HE CUT HIS RIGHT HAND FROM A PIECE OF METAL ON THE BRAKE. HE WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL AND RECEIVED 4 STITCHES TO HIS HAND.
EMPLOYEE STATED HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO HANG CABLE WHEN HE LIFTED THE CABLE HE FELT PAIN IN HIS LOWER BACK. EE CONTINUED TO WORK THE REST OF THE SHIFT & RETURNED TO WORK ON 11/9/04, HOWEVER HIS BACK BEGAN TO BOTHER HIM MORE SO HE LEFT WORK @ 8:30PM & CONSULTED A DR. ON 11/10/04 WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED HE HAD A MUSCLE STRAIN.
EE stated aligming the #4 belt when he struck his left wrist/hand on a piece of structure he was aligming. he consulter adv. it was determined there were no fractures to the hand/wrist.
EE WAS REPAIRING THE CONTINUOUS MINER WHEN THE RUB RAIL FELL ON HIS FOOT. EE WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL WHERE HE WAS XRAYED AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS NO FRACTURE ONLY BRUISED.
EE STATED THAT HE WAS HANGING WATER LINE WHEN THE WATER LINE FELL AND STRUCK HIM ON THE LEFT SHOULDER AND NECK

WHILE PULLING MINER CABLE, EMPLOYEE FELT A SHARP PAIN IN HIS RIGHT LOWER ABDOMEN. HE FINISHED HIS SHIFT AND WORKED A PARTIAL SHIFT THE NEXT DAY BUT THE PAIN PERSISTED. HE CONSULTED A DOCTOR AN D WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A RUPTURE.
WHILE LOADING SUPPLIES ONTO THE ROOF BOLTER, EMPLOYEE CUT HIS FINGER ON A ROOF MAT. HE DID NOT SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION UNTIL SEVERAL DAYS LATER WHEN HIS FINGER BECAME INFECTED.
EE WAS HANGING CURTAIN, BENT OVER AND TWISTED PULLING SOMETHING IN LOWER PART OF BACK. HE CONTINUED TO WORK UNTIL 9/25/02 WHEN HE CONSULTED A DOCTOR.
HE WAS BENDING OVER TO PICK UP CABLE WHEN HE FELT SOMETHING POP IN HIS LOWER BACK.
EMPLOYEE STATED HE WAS REMOVING MINER CABLE FROM THE HOOK THAT WAS CARRYING THE MINER CABLE WHEN HE FELT PAIN IN HIS LOWER BACK. EMPLOYEE CONSULTED A DOCTOR WHO DETERMINED HE HAD A PULLED MUSCLE IN HIS BACK.
EMPLOYEE STATED HE WAS MOVING CABLE WHEN HE PULLED A MUSCLE IN HIS BACK. HE CONTINUED TO WORK UNTIL 11-9-01 WHEN HE CONSULTED A DOCTOR AND THIS BECAME A LOST TIME INJURY.
EE WAS UNLOADING BELT STRUCTURE OFF THE RAILRUNNER WHEN A PIECE BOUNCED AND LANDED ON THE END OF HIS RIGHT THUMB CUTTING THE NAIL AND BREAKING THE END OF HIS THUMB.
EE WAS SHOVELING MUCK FROM UNDER THE BELT. WHEN HE LIFTED UP HE FELT A SHARP PAIN IN HIS BACK.
EE WAS ROLLING UP CONTROL LINE WHEN IT GOT HUNG ON WATER LINE AS HE WAS PULLING IT.
EMPLOYEE STATED THAT HE WAS MOVING MINER CABLE WHEN HE STRAINED HIS BACK, HE CONTINUED TO WORK UNTIL 1-5-01 WHEN HE CONSULTED A DOCTOR.
EE STATED THAT HE WAS HANGING ROOF BOLTER CABLE USING J-HOOKS WHEN THE CABLE SLIPPED AND THE HANGER HUNG IN HIS RIGHT HAND. EE WAS TREATED WITH 7 STITCHES AND REUTNRED TO WORK ON THE NEXT SHIF T.
EE STATED THAT HE WAS LOADING SUPPLIES ON THE RAILRUNNER OUTSIDE THE MINE. WHEN HE BENT TO PICK UP A BOX HE FELT A SHARP PAIN IN HIS LOWER BACK.
EE STATED HE BENT OVER TO MOVE CONTINUOUS MINER CABLE WHEN HE FELT SHARP PAIN IN HIS BACK. EE CONTINUED TO WORK UNTIL 10-5-00 WHEN HE CONSULTED DR.
EE WAS ATTEMPTING TO TRANSFER A HEAD JACK FOR A CONTINUOUS MINER FROM THE RAIL RUNNER TO A SCOOP WHEN HIS RING FINGER WAS CAUGHT BY THE JACK RESULTING IN A FRACTURED, LACERATED FINGER.
EE STATED THAT HE WAS LOADING ROOF BOLT RESIN ON TO THE SCOOP WHEN HE PULLED A MUSCLE IN HIS BACK. HE CONTINUED TO WORK UNTIL 7-26-00 WHEN HE CONSULTED A DR.
EE STATED THAT HE WAS THROWING FEEDER CABLE OVER OUT OF THE ROADWAY. EE STATE THAT WHEN HE THREW THE CABLE AGAINST A TIMBER IT FELL OVER AND STRUCK HIM ON THE RIGHT SHOULDER AND HIS HAND WENT NUMB.
EE WAS PREPARING TO SPLICE A WATER LINE WHEN ANOTHER EE DROPPED A CRIB BLOCK. THE CRIB BLOCK STRUCK A HACSAW THAT WAS LAYING ON THE BOTTOM CAUSING IT TO BOUNCE UP STRIKING EE IN THE RIGHT EYEB ROW. EE RECEIVED 13 STITCHES.
INJURED STATED HE WAS OPENING THE DOORS FOR THE RAIL RUNNER TO PASS THROUGH WHEN HIS WEDDING RING WAS CAUGHT BY THE DOOR. THE INJURY RESULTED IN HIS RECEIVING 12 STITCHES TO HIS RING FINGER AS A RESULT.
