Employee & co-worker were pulling the cable of a s-car when employee felt a tightening in his back. He finished the shift and didn't stop work until 3-18-13.
EE was pulling on miner cable and strained/pulled muscle in his back. Did not go to the hospital until 1/14/2013

The injured was helping hang the miner cable. When lifting, he felt a sharp pain in his lower back.

EE was running s/c, stopped to move a rock out of roadway and reinjured his left forearm.

He said suction hose stopped up going to drill pot on bolter. He layed hose across shoulder and was pulling on it. Said both sides were hurting.
SHOVELING SECTION TAILPIECE, PULLED MUSCLE IN LEFT FOREARM.
When making belt splice on #1 belt (outside), a belt rail fell striking the employee in the back of the neck and base of the head.

EE WAS HELPING PUT STRUCTURE BACK IN BELT AND WAS PRYING BELT UP WITH A 4X4 POST AND IT BROKE AND HIT LEFT KNEE ON BOTTOM AND 2ND EMPLOYEE THAT WAS HELPING HIM FELL ALSO AND PARTIALLY LANDED ON HIM
Employee was leaning on scoop bucket loaded with block and the bank broke and caught his hand against the scoop. Bucket and block mashed his right hand, breaking index and little fingers.
