Showing all 3EE was crushing clay when a piece of grit got in his eye. He was unable to get grit out and his eye became swoole & red. He went to Dr. who said he had scratched his cornea. The Dr. bandaged the eye and advised the EE to take one day off work.
EMPLOYEE WAS ON A PLATFORM PUNCHING OUT THE CLAY HOPPER WHICH HAD GOTTEN CLOGGED WITH WET CLAY. ANOTHER EMPLOYEE ON THE GROUND TOSSED UP A LUMP OF CLAY TO GET HIS ATTENTION. THE LUMP OF CLAY S TRUCK HIS LEFT EYE. HE RINSED HIS EYE WITH WATER AND COMPLETED HIS SHIFT. HE DID NOT TELL HIS SUPERVISOR. THE EYE BECAME MORE IRRITATED OVER THE WEEKEND. HE SAW A DOCTOR ON 9/15.
