PUNCTURE WOUND TO LEFT THIGH.
INJURY OCCURRED REMOVING PIN FROM EXCAVATOR BOOM. MAN WAS HIT IN THE RIGHT SIDE OF HEAD WITH THE PIN DRIVER WHEN THE PIN CAME COMPLETELY OUT OF BORE HOLE. EMT WAS CALL AND HE WAS TAKEN TO BE CHECKED OUT.
Helping another employee remove a 1/2 sheet of plywood from under a belt. When he picked it up to pull it out he heard a pop and felt a pain in his left lower leg. Pulled a muscle or possible tear to MCL or Achilles rupture.
Removed shive from pump,placed on ground , shive toppeled over striking left foot of employee. Left foot had swelling, brusing and a small contusion. Employee was taken for x-rays. There were no broked bones. Employee was return to lite duty work.
Inflating small tire. Tire was wrapped by a ratchet strap. Went to release strap. The strap released with great force striking left hand. Small cuts to pointer and ring finger. Stitches were required. The miner returned to work that same day.
Injured employee was working with 4 others to replace teeth on cutter head. Employee placed his hand on the tug push knee to look over side to check teeth for damage. Tug shifted and employee's left hand was caught between cutter head teeth and push knee. Employee attempted to pull hand back and left ring finger nail was pulled away and tip of finger broken inside glove.
The employe was struck below the right knee, causing an open tibia fracture, by a piece of metal banding that was released from under a front-end loader as the employee was spotting the front end loader operator.
Employee was tending shore line for crew tug and did not release line as crew tug started reversing. Hand was caught between rope and rail. Employee was wearing gloves.
EE CUT PALM ON A SHARP PIECE OF STEEL WHEN EE WAS DOING NIGHT TIME MAINTENANCE ON A SHAKER. EE DROPPED TOOL AND SUFFERED A LACERATION WHILE REACHING FOR IT.
EMPLOYEE WAS CHANGING THE WEAR PLATE ON ONE OF THE CRUSHERS. WHILE TRYING TO REMOVE A ROCK WHICH WAS LODGED IN ONE OF THE BOLT HOLES, HE SMASHED THE TIP OF HIS FINGER BETWEEN TWO PIECES OF STEEL.
EMPLOYEE WAS WORKING ON PIPELINE FLANGES AND GOT HIS FINGERS CAUGHT BETWEEN THE TWO FLANGES CAUSING THEM TO BE CRUSHED.
DEVELOPED A HERNIA WHILE TRYING TO PRY OPEN & CLEAN OUT THE LID ON THE BOOSTER
EE WAS MOVING ROCKS WEIGHING BETWEEN 60 - 100 LBS. THE ROCKS WERE BEING PUSHED OUT OF THE WAY, WHEN A ROCK ROLLED TO THE ROCK SIDE CATCHING EE'S FINGER BETWEEN THE ROCK & A STEEL WALL.
EE WAS UNSCREWING AN OIL FILTER. THE FILTERS WERE VERY TIGHT. WHEN EE INSCREWED THE FILTERS HE EXERTED HIMSELF & FELT A SHARP PAIN IN HIS LOWER BACK.
