The miner was performing routine housekeeping maintenance for a conveyor belt located inside a sloped steel tunnel. The miner lifted a piece of floor grating, tilting it to the side against tunnel wall and then shoveled material that was being accumulated underneath. The miner turned around briefly when the unsecured grating slid and impacted EE's left hand/wrist.

Employee was helping the welder holding a small piece of steel that was to be cut, in order to prevent it from falling abruptly, when the piece was cut the employee had difficulty and felt some bruising in his right hand, the hand appeared in good condition only a little swelling, later that day he felt pain in his shoulder.
