Showing all 4EE was working on a rock box on a conveyor and remained on the catwalk afterward to make sure everything was working properly. A rock bounced on the nearby handrail and hit him in the knee and thigh.
The employee was assisting with changing screens on a portable screen plant. Two employees were handling one screen panel weighing approximately 50 pounds when one employee felt pain in lower abdomen. Employee was sent to physician for a check and was diagnosed with an Inguinal Hernia. Consultation with a general surgeon was scheduled and he returned to work on restricted duty.
Employee was changing screens on a screen plant when he bumped his left leg on the corner of a screen panel. The employee continued working because he had no pain or injury from the bump. One week later, on 5/27/2014, the injury was reported to us after a weekend visit to the doctor for pain and swelling on the left leg where it was bumped.
