Showing all 5Employee cut by sharp metal pipe. The crew was installing a safety mid-rail on a walkway when the associate was struck by the sharp end of a 1 1/4 pipe. The Pipe contacted the right hand between the thumb and index finger causing a laceration the injury required other than first aid.

EE was attempting to remove a line used to secure barge on dredge. The line had become fouled during normal operation. EE attempted to jerk the line free with right hand when the injury happened in the right shoulder area. Management was notified and arrangements were made for a medical evaluation.
