Employee was attempting to assist a driver with closing his tailgate. Employee used his hands and attempted to pull out on the tailgate so the driver could release the latches and allow the gate to fully close. The gate closed and caught his right index finger between the tailgate and the bed of the truck causing a laceration to employees right index finger.
