Miner had right hand caught between a flight hub and the wall of the course material washer while performing maintenance on the washer flight hub assembly. The miner and an additional maintenance person was attempting to maneuver the flight hub assembly into place when the miner was injured.

Employee was attempting to assist a driver with closing his tailgate. Employee used his hands and attempted to pull out on the tailgate so the driver could release the latches and allow the gate to fully close. The gate closed and caught his right index finger between the tailgate and the bed of the truck causing a laceration to employees right index finger.
