While hammering pins on a screen (to tighten screen on shaker @ crusher) EE smashed middle finger on lt hand with small sledgehammer.

Employee was hammering wedges to tighten a screen. He said his safety glasses were tinted and scratched and removed them to see. After removing safety glasses, he struck screen wedge with hammer. A flake of rust flew into right eye. He tried to wash it out with eye wash; did not work. Sent to clinic for treatment. Off work 4 1/2 days.
