Employee was opening a box at the receiving desk with a utility knife. The knife slipped and they cut the top of their right thumb. Employee was taken to the emergency room where they received three stitches on the top of their thumb.

Showing all 5EE was cutting insulating tape for termination in oil switch at Mahler white dole stockpile transformer bay. While cutting EE cut right hand with hook knife when removing tape. EE went to the ER and was given 4 stitches in right palm.
Miner was drilling when the striker bar broke inside the drifter. The miner used a hammer to try and free it, the coupler was struck with the hammer causing a sliver of metal to come off and embedded in miner's left forearm just above the wrist.
Employee was inspecting trailer jack for installation. Jack was already extended, employee retracted jack by removing pin, not realizing jack was spring loaded, jack quickly retracted and caught EE's right thumb between foot and jack housing.
Miner was stripping off the sheathing from a high voltage cable at the transformer, the hook knife that the miner was using to strip the sheathing slipped causing a laceration to the little finger on the left hand requiring 3 stitches.
