While driving in a bogey pin into a D-10 bogey on a side frame, using a sledge hammer the victim partially struck the track frame which caused him to strike himself in the lower right leg. This was a struck by injury. He was treated and released.

EMPLOYEE WAS CHANGING A BEARING & WHEN HE WAS SWINGING THE SLEDGE HAMMER, IT CAUGHT ON HIS UPPER LEG CAUSING THE HAMMER TO MISS THE BEARING & HIT HIS LT. HAND. HE WENT TO THE HOSPITAL & IT WAS DETERMINED THAT NOTHING WAS BROKEN BUT THE HAND DID HURT & WAS BRUISED & SWOLLEN.
MECHANIC WAS LEANING ON A S FT PINCH BAR TO LINE UP CAB SUPPORT ON A CAT D9H DOZER. THE BAR SLIPPED AND MECHANIC FELL TO GROUND LANDING ON HIS RIGHT ARM AND SHOULDER.
