When employee was attempting to drive wedges out of rotor on the max cap, EE pinched EE's left pinky finger with the sledge hammer handle when swinging. this caused small fracture at last bone in pinky finger.

Splicing a conveyor belt and skiving the ends when the blade broke on the skiving tool. The blade stuck in the belt and EE struck it with their right hand.

Employee was cleaning out a plugged chute on the rock crushing/screening plant hitting EE's right hand/thumb against the ironwork corner on the plant. This resulted in a laceration of the thumbnail and nail bed. Bottom part of thumbnail was cut off and sewn (2 stitches) back on as a protective cover for the nail bed healing and a preventative for infection.

A Pomp's Tire Technician tried to remove a bur from a flange ring with a hammer and the piece of metal separated and imbedded in their cheek. Technician received medical attention at an ER. They received NO stitches and there was no lost time. Technician resumed normal duties.

Employee was using a razor knife to finish cutting a conveyor belt for splicing. EE drew the knife toward self cutting the inside of EE's left arm. The laceration was deep and approximately 1-1/2 inches long requiring 8 stitches to close.

Employee was being trained on the torque multiplier and had right hand resting on the end support of the stabilizer bar. When co-worker torqued the multiplier it caused the stabilizer bar to move and pinch right middle finger against hammer resulting in the partial amputation and open fracture.

Conveyor Belt/chute plugged with 8"-10" material. While attempting to clear the blockage the material shifted causing a rock to strike the third finger of our mine supervisor's right hand. This resulted in a laceration to the finger requiring sutures.

WHILE PLACING A PIN IN A BUCKET CYLINDER, HE GOT HIS HANDS COVERED WITH GREASE. HE THEN PICKED UP 18 LB SLEDGE HAMMER. WHILE USING HTE SLEDGE TO HAMMER IN THE PIN, THE SLEDGE SLID DOWN THRU HI S HAND AND STRUCK HIS INDEX FINGER. THIS RESULTED IN THE NEED TO STITCH UP A CUT ON THIS FINGER.
