Employee was changing a cell in a Ram car battery with a come-a-long. The chain slipped and he felt a pain in his left shoulder. He has since been diagnosed with degenerative changes in the shoulder and has history of prior treatment with chiropractic care on this shoulder. He worked for several weeks and has now had surgery on the shoulder.

Showing all 3Employee was reclaiming curtain in Unit # 2 Entry # 6 & #7 . Employee had his belt knife on his belt, blade out in lock position and pulled down on curtain and belt knife lacerated his arm 4" distal to left elbow.
EE had a new ratchet & was in the process of cutting the nylon strap that holds it together. He was holding the strap down with his right hand & the knife in his left hand. He was cutting toward his right hand when the knife cut through the nylon strap. The knife then struck his right hand through his glove causing a laceration.
