An employee struck finger with a hammer while using a drift pin to install a pinion gear onto a shaft. The employee struck the index finger on left hand. The employee's finger suffered a laceration/bruising and a broken finger tip bone during the incident. The employee was placed on restricted duty

Employee was installing wear shoes on the product classifier. He was driving a stuck bolt with a hammer when he hit the shoe in front of the one he was working on. The hammer glanced off, striking his left thumb, causing a hairline fracture.

Employee was attempting to better the flow of material in the mill hopper by using a long rod to stab the raw ore. He changed the angle of the rod to reach a different spot in the hopper. His left ring finger struck the guard on a belt conveyor. The impact cracked his nail completely and pushed his cuticle and skin up to the root of the nail.

HE WAS CHANGING SHAFTS AND HANGER BEARINGS ON #2 SCREW. TOOK OUT BOLTS THAT HOLD SHAFT TO SCREW. PUT PIPE WRENCH ON SHAFT THEN TURNED ON MOTOR TO BREAK SHAFT LOSE FROM SCREW. THE SCREW CAME OU T OF PAN HITTING HIM IN THE RIGHT ARM AND PUSHED HIM INTO GUARD RAIL, HITTING HIS LEFT SIDE.
