EE was using a piece of flat bar steel to adjust a belt roller. EE missed the intended striking area and smashed a finger between the belt structure and flat bar metal. Mashed fingernail and cut end of the finger. No stitches or broken bones.

Showing all 4Subject was in close vicinity where a repair man was using a hammer and chisel on the off side roof bolter drill head. A piece of the chisel broke away when struck by the hammer and hit EE underneath the chin. The sliver of metal was embedded under the skin.
EE was using the utility knife to strip the insulation from the leads on 2/0 high voltage cable, the knife slipped and cut hand at the base of right ring finger. EE drove self to the Whitesburg KY Appalachia Regional Hospital where ee received 3 stitches.
EE was shoveling the intake side of #2 belt when some draw rock fell on him. The doctors report from hospital was a severe bruised left shoulder.
