Employee was removing a tooth from a 988 loader bucket using an 8lb hammer knocking tooth from side to side when a sliver of metal broke away from tooth striking employee on his left leg front thigh area. Foreign body was removed from employee.

EE WA S APPROXIMATELY 15-20 FEET AWAY FROM WHERE ROPE BROKE. EE SUSTAINED A PUNCTURE WOUND TO HIS LEFT EYE. EE WAS WEARING SAFETY GLASSES.
