Miner was using a handheld grinder on a weld when metal debris flew into left eye. Eye wash station was unsuccessful at remedying, so miner was taken to urgent care for treatment. Doctor successfully removed metal debris with tweezers.

Late in the evening, EE went to the ER and had a small piece of steel removed from EE's eye. EE reported the injury to EE's supervisor on 4/8, the supervisor forwarded it to the safety department on 4/18.
